The Fountain Inn, Ashurst - 25-minute walk across country footpaths from The Wisp. 16th Century Inn with open inglenook fires and imaginative draught beers. Orchard garden and pub grub.
The Ginger Fox, Shaves Thatch (7.8 miles) - outstanding imaginative seasonal cooking and a great selection of wines.
Curry Lounge, Ashington (7.8 miles) - nice Indian takeaway that delivers
Chalk (8.9 miles) - wonderful fine dining venue a short drive to the restaurant or park at Chanctonbury Ring road car park and take one of the beautiful walks to get there.
The Crown Inn, Dial Post (5.2 miles) - great food and superb walks through the Knepp Estate
The Windmill, Littleworth (17.1 miles) - lovely garden and grub
Perch, Lancing Beach (11.4 miles) - a firm favourite of ours at any time of day but especially for a dip and brunch
Into the Blue, Shoreham Beach (10.5 miles) - a fab little foodie spot for seafood and a min from the beach for a beach-combing before dinner
Relish (4.8 miles) - deli with pop up tasting evenings. It is possible to cycle there on South Downs Link
Kinsbrook Vineyard (10.5 miles) - another great local vineyard in West Chiltington
Little Fish - Sushi in the sticks. Exceptional sushi and Asian food delivery
